At least one of the “perks” of getting to this point in our lives, is that we’re OK with shedding a few tears! Thanks so much for your comment.

I just now sat down to read through your blog, I love it. Many of the entries have brought tears to my eyes. It certainly is an interesting time of our lives. I have often said that all I ever wanted to be was a mom, and I never thought beyond that time. No one ever tells you when they hand you those little babies, that someday they are going to leave. I have been thinking a lot about making the next part of my life as joyful as the last part has been. I love your perspective, and your attitude. And the example of your sweet parents to look back on with gratitude, but not longing. Also, that life is still good, even without all of our children under our very roof. I’ll keep trying to remember this as my last two are quickly out of the door.
I also love the thought of going to a peaceful place. There are so many times that during such insignificant moments with my family that I think, I am going to remember this time always, as we are together and all is right with the world. I love and cherish those simple moments.
Thanks for your thoughts and your insights into this new stage of life. You are a fabulous writer, keep the posts coming.
Love ya
Alison
